About “Close That Door” single:
“Close That Door” is the second after „Tinder Girl” single promoting, new upcoming Snakedoctors album “Mellow Joy” due to be out in September. Apart from grunge and rock, band members quote new wave as one of their inspirations. You can hear it in many of their songs. Here they wanted to appreciate that music style which influenced them so much. There’s a new video coming along with the single – this time filmed in a warehouse storage and around all beautiful cemetery. It’s one of their favorite tunes telling the story about how sometimes you just should end up and close things that are not going to work. Mixed at Abbey Road Studios in London and mastered at Metropolis Studios in London.
About upcoming “Mellow Joy” album:
As previous albums – mixing for the new album was done at Abbey Road Studios in London and The Lip Studio in LA. Mastering was done at Metropolis Studios in London and by Corey Coffman (of the band “Gleemer”) in his studio in the US. There’s also another collaboration on that album (“Girl With Sponges”) a duet with young and talented artist from the US. The video for “Tinder Girl” was made during the same session as the one for “Sweeter” (a single from band’s second album “Joy Free Bowl”). “Mellow Joy” is a step towards more pure and simple rock and roll. But it also has some new wave’ish influence.
